1n 1987 The Yons emerged from the ashes of two Nottingham bands, Paint The Orange and The Steve Shaw Contingent and spent the next five years in a state of creative frenzy, writing, recording and performing in legendary local venues that included The Eden Club, The Yorker, The News House, Russell’s and Bobby Brown’s Cafe.

Following a 25 year hiatus they reconvened and since 2017 have been writing, recording and performing their distinctive blend of guitar driven alt pop/rock to an ever widening audience. In May 2025 they released their long awaited debut album ‘Watch and Clock’.
